TUTORING

Caspar Salmon, our London-based son, is an experienced tutor in a range of subjects including English, French, Italian and Film Studies. Having grown up in France and obtained a Bac L (Mention Bien) at the Lycée International de Sèvres, he went on to study English and Italian at Warwick University, receiving a First Class degree with Honours.

Caspar went on to work for Pearson and the BBC, before working as a writer and journalist (for such publications as The Guardian, The New Statesman, Sight & Sound, Vice or BBC Culture).

His first picturebook for children, How To Count To One, has been translated into 20 languages, and a second is due for publication this year. Along the way, he has tutored for Monceau Langues (in Paris) and Lionheart Education (in London), as well as on a freelance basis, across all age ranges. He has taught French conversation classes, film analysis, plus English exam revision, in person and via Zoom.

Caspar prides himself on his ability to get along with anyone, and brings an approachable, dynamic spirit to private classes.
